The Devonshire Association. East Devon Branch
The History of Seaton Tramway
Seaton Tramway is one of Devon’s best loved tourist attractions,
operating narrow gauge heritage trams between Seaton and
Colyton. Come along to hear Dave Rawlings talk about its founder,
Claude Lane, why and when he started building trams and the
evolution of the tramway from its early days to the present. Dave
will also talk about the original Seaton branch line from its opening
in 1868 to closure in 1966.
The talk will be preceded by a very brief East Devon branch AGM
